Geo Cell Confinement: Stabilising Soft Soils for Roads
Where Geo Cell shines: soft soil sub-grades where geotextile and geogrid alone are insufficient, steep slopes needing erosion control and surface stability, working platforms for heavy equipment over weak ground, channel and shoreline protection, load support for tank pads and equipment foundations.
Mechanism: confinement of the infill material in the cell pockets prevents lateral spread, mobilises arching action between cells, and creates a beam-like stiff layer that distributes concentrated loads over much wider footprints than the infill alone.
Key specifications: cell height (50, 75, 100, 150, 200 mm depending on application), cell wall thickness, weld strength (for HDPE Geo Cell), perforation pattern, surface texture, polymer grade.
